about

The Recluse is a collection of narratives, thoughts, and mental explorations recorded over the course of four years that documents a journey of self-exploration. Using tales of love, pain, acceptance, and bliss, The Recluse hopes to paint a picture of human ups and downs that we all experience, conveyed through explications of his own thought processes.

But even moreso, it's a dope album with classic beats and thorough engineering. So enjoy, and share it with everyone.

First and foremost, big thanks to Mom and Dad for accepting me and my musical explorations. It's been a journey, and I hope I make you proud everyday. There's no one more important than you two, except the next two people I thank. Next, Cherese and Christinn, everything I do, you two make it possible. When I see you, it's like my batteries are recharged and my energy and spirit are renewed. Even though you think I'm old now, you keep me young, you keep me hungry, and I hope I make you proud.

Musically, gotta thank Avance, KO, Travis, Ant, and all of Mixbreed. Inspiration isn't word enough. Y'all made me realize what it meant to give your all to a craft, and those lessons I take with me now. Shouts to Tyler Franz a.k.a. DJ Shake, Carlton, TD, and Tre. Tre, your freestyles are the reason I first ever practiced rapping, no BS. Carlton, you were my benchmark when we recorded Summer School. All I wanted to do was get to your level. Shake, you birthed a monster bro. Thanks for the trap beats so I got all that out first, you started the progression. TD, my brother, one love. Gotta get you to the burg soon.

Paco! You killed all these beats, as soon as I saw your music on Reddit man, it was done. I knew what my style was. Your vision and my flow are a match made in heaven my dude. Keep it up. Flex Plexico, thanks for your patience. New Gnu, you as well.

Last, Daniel. There would be none of this without you man. I really don't know where I would be bro, straight up. You helped incubate this person who I am know, and I am afraid of what would have been. Next tape is all your beats also, so let's get to it.
